Andrew S. Elston, CEO, has more than 30 years of experience in new media and online content licensing and development. Andrew joined iCopyright in 2006 as Director of Publisher Services and became CEO in 2010. Prior to iCopyright, Andrew was VP at Primedia Enterprises, where he was responsible for international content licensing for 350 business and consumer websites and magazines. Other experience includes executive roles at Qpass (Director of Publisher Alliances), NewsNet (President) and Mergers & Acquisitions and Directors & Boards (Managing Editor). Andrew holds a Master's Degree in English from the University of Washington.
Kevin Webb, CTO, leads iCopyright’s software development and manages the technical architecture of iCopyright and repubHub. Prior to joining iCopyright, Kevin was a lead developer of various gaming titles, including SketchPhrase and Conquest of Champions (Kihon) and Wildlife Refuge (Sony Online Entertainment). He holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Arizona, with a minor in Business Administration.
Mike O’Donnell, Founder and Director, founded iCopyright in 1998 and served as its CEO until 2010. He pioneered a number of the company’s innovations, including the instant licensing service, Clip&Copy (the precursor to repubHub), and advertiser-supported free uses. He currently serves on the company’s board of directors and advises on product development, strategic alliances and long-term planning. He is the CEO of StartupBiz.com, and is an M&A Intermediary with VR Business Brokers in Boca Raton, FL.
Dan Sauerhaft, Chairman, has been captivated by the core mission of iCopyright — helping writers earn a living in the digital era — for over 10 years. Dan has 19 years’ experience in investment banking, and has been an investor and board member with a range of early-stage companies. In 1992, Dan founded the Municipal Finance Group at Société Générale. He served as Managing Director in charge of that group until his departure in 2007, building it into one of the most successful muni groups on Wall Street. Other experience includes VP in the Public Finance Department of Smith Barney and economist at the Federal Home Loan Bank Board. Dan holds a BA from Oberlin College and MBA from Columbia University.
Bill Pollak, Director, is a nationally recognized leader in the media and information industry with a record of guiding transformation and creating value in publicly owned, private equity and non-profit businesses. Bill is a former Chairman of American Business Media. He currently serves as CEO of The Gordian Group, a leader in the Job Order Contracting sector of the construction industry. Previous positions include CEO of American Lawyer Media (ALM) and both EVP of Sales and EVP of Circulation for The New York Times. Bill is a graduate of Harvard College and has an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Lary Stromfeld, Director, is a partner at the law firm of Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft. He has a diverse practice based upon more than 30 years of experience in the capital markets. He represents global financial institutions and other leading market participants in transactions and advisory matters involving a wide variety of financial products and complex financings.
