SEATTLE, Washington, December 6, 2011 – iCopyright’s latest content monetization technology and its leadership role in the digital content industry have received recognition from the Software and Information Industry Association (SIIA) and EContent Magazine for prestigious awards in 2012.
iCopyright’s “industrial strength” licensing and content monetization tools, which have been widely used by large publishers for more than a decade, are now available to smaller publishers and content creators who use any of the three most popular content management systems—WordPress, Joomla, and Drupal. iCopyright has repackaged its suite of services in easy-to-use add-ons to these CMS’s so that no technical expertise is required to begin monetizing copyrighted content. The tools also facilitate syndication of content to and from other publishers, creating a unique “virtuous circle” for content monetization.
EContent 100 Companies That Matter Most in the Digital Content Industry, 2011-2012
iCopyright’s recognition as a Top 100 Company for 2011-2012 in the EContent Content Commerce category is the fourth time in as many years for the service. For 2011-2012, the judges said of the category, “Grease must be applied to the wheels of commerce lest they squeak—nay, grind—to a halt. When what is being bought and sold is measured in bits and bytes, solutions that enable the buying and selling of digital content are there to keep the transactions humming smoothly along.”
2012 SIIA CODiE Finalist
The Software & Information Industry named iCopyright Article Tools + Syndication a finalist for the prestigious CODiE Award in the category of Best Digital Rights Management Solution. The SIIA CODiE Awards recognize excellence in business software, digital content, and education technology. Nominated products and services receive a thorough review from seasoned industry experts who can identify strengths and give significant insights for improvements. In 27 years, SIIA has recognized more than 1,000 companies for achieving greatness in industries that expect innovative thinking and demand market validation.
iCopyright’s technology has previously been the recipient of CODiE Awards, in 2001 and 2005.
Reflecting on these announcements, which came in the same week, iCopyright CEO Andrew Elston said, “There is no greater honor for iCopyright than to be recognized by our industry leadership. EContent is a powerful, independent voice for creators and consumers of high-quality content, and the SIIA is the principal trade association of the digital content industry. Our development team and our customer and publisher support teams have worked hard to earn these honors, and we could not be more proud of them.”
